The First ASCP Workshop was a Great Success!!

Friday, June 4, 2004

The EdCenter held its first hands-on workshop for the Automated Survey Creation Process (ASCP) Friday, June 4, 2004. There was a full house of 30 attendees, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Kirsten Barber, EdCenter lead programmer and developer of the ASCP, gave the workshop. Users were given an initial overview of the basic features of the tool, and then were provided more detailed instruction, all the while being able to follow along with "hands on" thanks to the well-equipped training room graciously provided by the SDSU Library and Information Access, who were co-hosts of the event. The EdCenter team thanks the library staff for their help and support in making this a most successful workshop.

Questions? Learn more about the ASCP, create your own account and begin using it for your survey needs.

Kirsten Barber introduces workshop attendees to the basic workings of the ASCP. A full house of 30 attendees filled the Library and Information Access computer training room.

EdCenter Director Kris Stewart provides workshop attendees with an overview of assessment technologies and issues. Kris and Kirsten "tag-team" to help make this workshop a great success.
