The process of converting Protein DataBase File (.pdb file format) to a VRML 2.0 file (.wrl file format) can be visualized in the following manner.

Requirements for view the molecules in both formats include a Molecular Viewer (like Chime) and a VRML Viewer (like Cosmoplayer or Worldview). See downloads to obtain these.
