Date: Fri, 30 Jan 1998 17:17:09 -0800 From: "Doug Cummings, OAC" Subject: CENIC Academic Applications Council listserv archives To: CENIC-AAC-L@listserv.ucla.edu To retrieve the past postings to the CENIC Academic Applications Council listserv, follow this procedure: 1. Send an emial to CENIC-AAC-L@LISTSERV.UCLA.EDU with only this text in the body INDEX CENIC-AAC-L Note: the text must be in all capital letters. Also, you should turn off any email signature block you normally use since it will be interpreted as additional listserv commands and generate error messages. 2. You will receive a message back with the subject line File: "CENIC-AAC-L FILELIST" which looks like this * * Archive files for the CENIC-AAC-L list at LISTSERV.UCLA.EDU * (weekly logs) * rec last - change * filename filetype GET PUT -fm lrecl nrecs date time * -------- -------- --- --- --- ----- ----- -------- -------- CENIC-AAC-L LOG9712A LOG OWN V 73 18 97/12/05 14:29:55 CENIC-AAC-L LOG9801A LOG OWN V 76 157 98/01/06 16:04:07 CENIC-AAC-L LOG9801B LOG OWN V 77 405 98/01/12 16:05:28 CENIC-AAC-L LOG9801D LOG OWN V 76 30 98/01/28 10:50:40 3. The LOGnnna information under "filetype" identifies the weekly message logs by year and month (A is week one, B is week two, etc.). To retrieve the messages from the first week of January, 1998, you would send an email to CENIC-AAC-L@LISTSERV.UCLA.EDU with only this text in the body GET CENIC-AAC-L LOG9801A Note: the text must be in all capital letters. Also, you should turn off any email signature block you normally use since it will be interpreted as additional listserv commands and generate error messages. Each weekly log requires a separate "GET" line but you can send as many "GET" lines as you would like in a single email message. Each weekly log will be returned to you in a separate email message with a subject line similar to this: File: "CENIC-AAC-L LOG9712A". If you need any additional information about the list, CENIC, or the Academic Applications Council, please drop me a note at dougc@ucla.edu.
