Answer(or question to Mentor): The answer to A. is 16.5% of her recommended daily value. I got this by multiplying 9 and 14 because the burger has 14 grams of fat and per 1 of those grams it has 9 calories and got 126 calories. Then I multiplied 36 grams of Carbohydrates times 4 because for every 1 gram of Carbohydrates there are 4 calories to get 144. Then I multiplied 15 times 4 because for every 1 gram of protein there are 4 grams of calories to get 60. Then I added 126 144 and 60 to get 330/2000 because 2000 is the recommended daily value. Then I marked off 1 zero off of each and got 33/200. Then I divided each by two because the total is out of 100 and not 200, and got 16.5/100. The answer to B. is 98.75% rounded up to 99% of the burger is calories. I got this by adding the calories, 330, the fat, 14, the Carbohydrates, 36, and the protein, 15, to get 395. Then I divided by 4 because that is how many things are in it. I got 395. The answer is 98.75% rounded up to 99%. The answer to the challenge problem is 27 chicken nuggets. I got this by working backwards. If there were 3 left when Lani got it and Miles ate half of them then it would be 6. Then before Miles Juan ate 3/4 of the remaining nuggets in the bucket, so you would multiply 3 and 6 to get 18. Then 2/3 would be left because Ralf ate 1/3 of the bucket to start off with. Then you divide 18 by 2 to get 9. Then I added 9 to 18 to get 27 nuggets.

Congratulations on getting the first question correct. Your explanation for this answer was very good. Your answer to the second question is incorrect. The question is asking what portion of the total calories, which you already know is 330, come from fat. You also already know from the first question that there are 126 calories from fat. I hope this hint helps. As for the challenge problem, your answer is incorrect but you are definetly on the right track. You are correct up until Juan. There were six nuggets after Juan ate 3/4 of the nuggets. So now we know that 6 was 1/4 of the total number of nuggets in the bucket before Juan ate any. You need to find out what number 6 is 1/4 of. This means that 6 multiplied by 4 is the total number of nuggets in the bucket before Juan ate any. See if you can go on from here. Good luck.
