Answer(or question to Mentor): Luis, the answers to both of the problems are 6.16% and 15.11%. The way i got those answers is first of all i multiplied the amount of all of the nutrtion by the amount of calories one gram equaled. then i added those nimbers up and got 330. Then i divided the rda's recomended amount of calories by the sum of the first step, i got 6.16%. the second problem i divided the rda's recomended amount of calories by the product of the first step and got 15.11%

Answer(or question to Mentor): Im sorry Luis at first I got the wrong answer so im going to try it again. I found that 330 divided by 2000 is .165 so that is what i feel is the correct answer but that answer converts into 16.5%. To get the percentage of fat in the cheeseburger i divided the total grams of fat which is 14 grams by the total number of grams of the cheeseburger which is 65 grams. The answer is .2154 which converts to 21.54%. The percentage of fat in calories in the cheeseburger is 126 divided by 330 which equals .382 which converts to 38.2%.

Mentor Reply: Eric,

Great job. You found all the answer correctly and explained it well. It was clear that you found the fraction and converted it to a percent. However, can you explain how you got the 330 calories? You did a great job solving this problem. Now I encourage you to try the challenge problem.

Good Luck, I look forward to viewing your response.

Instructor Comments: Luis,
If you say that he explained the answers well, then it is inconsistent to ask for a revision. I would say 'Congratulations! You solved both questions correctly.' However, part of this assingment is to learn to explain things clearly so that others can understand. So, can you epxlain how you calculated the 330 calories?' Also, you have one grammer error: You state: 'You found all the answer correctly and explained it well.' It should be 'You found all the answerS correctly and explained THEM well. --Dr. Bowers
