Answer(or question to Mentor): She has taken 330/2000 of her rda i got this i figured out how many calories that she had eaten in all and did a fraction of it which i think is 330/2000. I figured ou how many calories she had eaten by multiplying the fat protein and charbohydrates by the number of calories that it would make of one gram of that,

Mentor Reply: Hi Brass,
Your answer for part one of the problem is correct. How did you get the number 330 for the total amount of calories she had eaten?
You can also simplify this fraction or change it to a percent. Can you try the second part of the problem? Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely, Andrea

Instructor Comments: Andrea,
As usual, good job. In this case, I think you could actually go either way. on the one hand, I agree that it is not totally clear which numbers were added to get the 330, but it is clear what the general process was. So, you could actually let the explanation go, and focus specifically on explaining how the fraction of 330/2000 can be changed into a percent. The teacher told me that these students have not really learned percent yet, so taking the time to explain that 'per cent' means 'per 100' might be a good teaching opportunity. You could encourage her to figure out the decimal, and then convert that to something over 100. Why not give it a try??
Good to encourage her to do the second part of the problem. Since we have more time, you can encourage her to do the challenge next time.

Answer(or question to Mentor): Challenge
I do not think that i got this right but i think that she had 15 nuggets to begin with. I got this by just adding up the fractions with only 1/3 left. I then addd them up to wher ethe the 1/3 would eb worth three getting 15 to begin with.
