Answer(or question to Mentor): I think the answer to part A is 3/4. I am pretty sure the answer to part B is 1/4. Thanks.

Answer(or question to Mentor): Yes his house would get washed away if the storm could overtake the poles. Any house would get washed away if the water was higher than the foundation. I think that because that happens to every house.

Answer(or question to Mentor): The answer for question number 1 is 376%. I got the answer by multiplying 14 by 9(which was 126), then 15 by 4(which was 60), and then 36 by 4( which was 144). After i got the answers to them i added them all together which was 376. Then i did 376%. That was my answer.

Answer(or question to Mentor): The answer to nuber 2 is 9%. I got 9 as my answer by dividing 14 into 126. The answer for that was 9. Then i put 9 as a percent. I got 9% as the answer.

Thank you for submitting your answer. You have started the problem correctly, however, you have not reached the right answer. You were correct in multiplying and the idea that you need to add up all of the calories. Make sure you check your addition of the three numbers you found. Also, when finding the percent, you did not quite do it correctly. If your class has not yet learned percent, you may leave the answer in fraction form. Remember that the total amount of calories is not what we are looking for as the answer, but instead, the total calorie amount of the cheeseburger over the total amount of calories she is allowed in the day. The fraction you will get, is the correct answer. As for question two, you were correct that you needed to use 126 in the equation, but you will need to make that a fraction over the total amount of calories in the cheeseburger. That is, fat calories over the total amount of calories. Good luck on this IMP.
