Answer(or question to Mentor): i got the7 1/s buy seing what half of five was. it was 2 1/2. i wanted to see what half of figve was because i knew that tho squares were 5 ft. but i need to know what just one was so i halfed 5. then i addedthe five(because of the two sections)o 2 1/2 and that was 7 1/2.
i got the second one by pretty much doing the same. i knew more info that time so it was easier. thanks for listening.

Answer(or question to Mentor): so for the repeat! i thin ki got he challenge problem. the answer is yes the house would get washed away. the reason is because if 40% is out of the ground, than 40 plus what equals 100? 60. well that must mean hat 60% of the stilt is out of the water. i would have to fine what 7 1/2 was in a persenct so i can find the answer. well it would be 75%. We all know 75% is bigger that 60% so it must have gotten washed away!!

This is really good work. You got the first part correct, but could you explain what you did with all of the clues to get the 330. Did you add? Also, I am not sure how you got the 24%, could you help explain that to me. Keep up the good work.

Your response here starts out well, although I might add a comma after Jilli. However, when you say that her work is really good, and then you ask for elaboration on how she got the 330, I think it might be a bit confusing to her. I think her explanation of the 330 is OK, but, obviously, the 24% is both incorrect and not clearly explai9ned. So, I would congratulate her on getting the first question correct and explaining it well, but then I would tell her that the 24% is incorrect, and ask her to explain exactly what she did so that you can help her find her error.

Answer(or question to Mentor): i used the following information
14 g of fat
36 g of carbohydrates
15 g of protein
1 gram of fat has 9 calories
1 gram of carbohydrates has 4 calories
1 gram of protein has 4 calories
The first thing i did is timsed 14 by 19.so i kept that number.
Then i got the 36 and timsed it by 4. I kept that answer.
Then i got 15 and timsed it by 4. kept that answer.
then i got all of the answers and added them. that was 330. Thats how i got the 330.

This is great, you got the first part correct. You clearly explained to me how you got your answer and you did a great job of describing it. You did get the second part of the question wrong, so could you explain your work to me so I can help you find your error. Keep up the effort.
