Answer(or question to Mentor): Hey Angela,
My name is Tyler! (I am a girl) I think the answer is 6 2/5 miles because I devided the 5 seconds into the 32 seconds that you counted up to. 5 goes into 32 seconds 6 times but yo have 2 left over. So you make it into a fraction, 2/5. the denominator is 5 because you would need 5 seconds to get 1 more mile but youonly have 2 so it would be 2/5!
Well I gtg wite back soon

Tyler

Hi! My name is Angela and I will be your mentor. Great job! You explained what you did really well. You got the correct answer of 6 2/5 miles. I see that you divided 5 into 32, but could you explain why? Also, I think that you should try the challenge problem. I look forward to seeing your answers to it. Keep up the good work.

Student's Name: Tyler
Answer(or question to Mentor): hey sorry i accidenty sent that. my bad. well the reason that I put 5 into 32 is because 5 seconds is how many seconds that it takes to go a mile. and 32 is how much you counted to. So, i divided it and it did not come out evenly so i make the remainder into a fraction. I will try the challenge problems later. I have to go to class now though. ok well i hope this is right! ttyl Tyler
p.s. Do you have an email address?

Hi! Good job on your revision. I like how you explained how you solved the problem and why you divided 5 into 32. I would have liked to see you try the challenge problem, but I think we are out of time now. Good luck on the next problem.
