Elvene,
Recall that this is a letter to the student. So, address it to Marshall and say something along the lines of "I am looking forward to hearing from you soon." The teacher said that some of the students were sick.

Answer(or question to Mentor): I think the answer is six and two tenths of a mile.I know it takes five seconds between lightning to strike and thunder to crash, so I multiplied five by six which equals thirty, but there was still two seconds left and I added it to the thirty seconds which equals thirty and two tenths.

Thanks for submitting an answer. Your answer of 6 2/10
is close, but the correct answer is 6 2/5 or 6.4 miles.
Keep in mind that you are grouping by 5's not 10's. I
am looking forward to hearing from you again.
