Answer(or question to Mentor): I think the answer is 6.2 miles away. I figured this out by if it takes 5 seconds to get 1 mile so thirty two divided by 5 = 6.2. I did this because thirty two seconds is how long I counted so you divide that by 5 seconds because 5 seconds is one mile and it = 6.2 miles.

Mentor Reply: Hi Wade, great start. However, I do not understand where the decimal .2 comes from. I understand perfectly how you got 6 miles. Could you revised your division steps again and resubmit your answer to me. I will be waiting. Good luck.

Elizabeth,
Good response. I would submit as is, but also encourage Wade to attempt the challenge problem.

Instructor Comments: Elizabeth,
Thank you for submitting this to your student in such good time. However, there are several grammatical errors in this version, and one that I did not catch the first time around. First, you say "Could you revised your dividion..." instead, it should say, "Could you revise...". Second, you say "If is possible start working in the challenge problem." This should read "IT is possible to start working ON the challenge problem." or, even better, "Why don't you try working on the challenge problem too?" So, given these errors I assume that English is not your first language. I hope you understand that our goal is to try to communicate as well as we can so, can you please submit your answers to me via email before responding again so that I can help you out?

Answer(or question to Mentor): I am doing challenge 2A. The answer is 6,000 times a minute. I figured this out by lightning strikes 100 a second. A minute is 60 seconds. So I multiplyed 100 times 60 because 100 a times 60 seconds, and it equaled 6,000.
