Answer(or question to Mentor): Abigail, The answer is 6 and 2/10 miles. If it takes 5 seconds for the sound to travel one mile and it took 32 seconds for the flash of lightning and the sound of the thunder to get there. I divided 5 into 32. I got 6.2 as my answer. I did 5 into 32 because it takes 5 seconds to travel a mile and it took 32 seconds. Ashley+

It is great how you understood the ratio in this problem of seconds to miles. I see how you divided and 5 into 32, but go ahead and check the math again and make sure you are dividing correctly. Maybe try drawing a diagram or a picture this time.
keep up the good work

This is a good beginning but since the answer is incorrect, I think it might be a bit confusing. Therefore, I would be more direct in your initial statement. You can start out by saying your nice greeting, but you need to indicate, up front, that the answer is incorrect. Also, although a diagram might be a great idea in person, it might be difficult for Ashley to communicate to you what she pictured(and we can't accept drawings right now). Please capitalize the k in Keep and also the first letter of your name.
