Rob Malouf, Assistant Professor
Department of Linguistics and Oriental Languages
College of Arts and Letters
rmalouf@mail.sdsu.edu

Rob's project, a Regular Expression Toolkit, provides students in computational linguistics an opportunity to explore the relationship between changes in a regular expression search and the results. A protoype is currently being developed and will soon be available for interactive exploration via the web. Rob is working closely with Kirsten Barber, EdCenter's Lead Programmer, to create this valuable and important tool.

Mitzi Kolar, Professor of Music
School of Music and Dance
College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts
kolar@mail.sdsu.edu

Mitzi's project integrates the Storage Resource Broker into her undergraduate music curriculum to assist her with the evaluation of student music performances. We are in the process of developing a web-based interface for Mitzi to access and evaluate MIDI keyboard recordings.

Marilyn Hall, Health Sciences Reference Librarian
Science Division
Malcome Love Library
mehall@mail.sdsu.edu

Marilyn is working with the EdCenter development team to create a modularized version of the SDSU Library's successful interactive Research Tutor. This tool helps incoming freshmen learn the various issues involved in performing library-based research and suggests strategies for optimizing their time.
