Playback of Realtime Visualization of Remote Autonomous Vehicle Positions During the Challenge

The following interactive 3D animation is a representation of events that occured March 13, 2004 in the high desert area of southern California during the first annual DARPA Grand Challenge Race in which 20 teams from all over the United States competed in an effort to become the first autonomous vehicle to traverse 200 miles of rugged desert landscape. This program allows you to track individual vehicles or the entire group.
